Land Surface Temperature (Processing using ArcGIS)

In this session of the GeoNgiser, I, Sattam Chakraborty, will provide a comprehensive introduction to the process of Land Surface Temperature (LST) calculation and thematic map creation using ArcGIS software. Leveraging satellite imagery from the Landsat-8 mission, he will walk through the step-by-step methodology for deriving LST, explaining the significance of each processing stage—from radiometric correction to emissivity adjustments. Participants will gain hands-on insight into how to transform raw remote sensing data into meaningful spatial representations, empowering them to analyze and visualize temperature patterns across the Earth’s surface with precision and clarity.
